How The Scoring Works

To score points for the Player of the Year, you must make the final six players.  The total point pool is calculated by taking the total amount of players and multiplying that number by 10 to get your point pool.  Out of those points, the places get paid as follows (adjust for rounding to a whole number): 1st - 35%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%, 4th - 12%, 5th - 8%, 6th - 5%.

Requirement to Make Tournament of Champions or Satellite

To make the Tournament of Champions event or Ninth Seat Satellite, you must come to a minimum of 4 Circuit events during the year. Once you make at least 4 Circuit events, you are qualified for the Ninth Seat Satellite. If you gain 100 or more POY points and have played in the minimum of 4 Circuit events, you are automatically in the Tournament of Champions event. 10% of the total prize pool will go towards the Player of The Year.
