A History of the Middlesex County Poker Showdown
Updated January 17, 2009
The Middlesex County Poker Showdown was the second event in the 2007 Circuit schedule. This event hasn't had quite an illustrious career as other circuit events on the JSOP Circuit schedule.
The 2007 edition of this event marks the first time and only (as of August 2008) that Tom Taylor has not played in a Circuit event. This was the first of many Circuit wins that JSOP player Dan Winegrad has won. The event held the usual 12 players.
The 2008 edition of this tournament was attended by Tom Taylor this time and held the usual 12 players. This event was the first of the 2008 schedule to be the first shorthanded event of the year. This event was the first win by Adam Martinez, the winner of the 2006 Tournament of Champions... lucky jerk.
This is another event that is most likely going to show itself again in the 2009 Circuit schedule. Will this event ever hold anything else but 12 players? Probably not, so who gives a shit?
