A History of the Fall Poker Classic

Updated January 17, 2009

The Fall Poker Classic is the one event on the JSOP Circuit event that has the richest history out of all events. It has had a run during the weekly runnings of the JSOP and has been held twice on the JSOP Circuit.

This event was first a weekly event season back in September of 2005. Being the first real JSOP season, the JSOP built most of its players up from this season. This was a 12 week season which had Tom Taylor take down the event after taking down Chris Sepcsik heads up (can't even win one of these, can ya?).

In 2006, this event showed Frank Ermel, a player during the 2005 Fall Bash season, take down the title defeating 11 other players and defeating Josh Weber heads up.

The 2007 event had a total of 12 players and saw its first repeat champion as Frank Ermel took down the title for 2 years straight as he defeated Josh Weber again heads up. As I am typing this, I just noticed that both Frank won and Josh was runner up, spooky.

In 2008, 13 players made an appearance to try and take down a shot at this illustrious title. One man, who made it to heads up actions both years prior, Josh Weber, finally won the title by defeated John Raughley heads up and taking down his first ever Circuit win.

The event has made an appearance on the 2009 Circuit schedule. What new and exciting events will unfold this year? Hopefully nothing, so I don't have to write up a huge entry for this thing next year.
